So I’ve been waiting for this EP for a while now and was more than happy to fork out the $’s when on the iTunes site. I won’t go into much depth about the album, because I think his work really speaks for itself, but I will say I have listened to the entire EP over and over since the purchase.
Every track is great, pure and simple. Hoodie’s lyrics aren’t about whatever brand of clothing is currently in fashion, or about how many cars he has in his garage, which is a nice change. To anyone who doesn’t know who he is yet, I would suggest listening to his work on YouTube; and to those who haven’t seen him on Jake and Amir, then you should check out his Rap Teacher videos for a good laugh.
All in all, this EP has made its way into my usual music rotation almost instantly, so check him out… you won’t be disappointed.
Since I last posted anything, mostly due to poor time management skills, but I’ve prepared a few things to post this evening.
Even though I haven’t had time to blog, I have had enough time to still enjoy some quality gaming time, more so this week than previous weeks.
So I thought I’d start off with a short list of what games I’ve been playing (or other things);
Firstly, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic,
Hoodie Allen’s “All American EP”,
Pokemon Fire Red,
Yu Yu Hakusho,
And a few other things that have slipped my mind at this moment in time.
I’ll be writing up a reviews/general banter about these goodies over the next night when I get time (course work takes priority unfortunately). So please take some time to check everything out and leave some feedback. I’ll be starting a new section soon which will be about all the el cheapo games I find at my local game store - most notably $5 bargains such as FFX, Dragon Age: Origins, and others - along with reviews on F2P MMORPG’s that have been suggested to me over the past couple months.
Thanks for reading,
8bit Pilgrim.
Just a quick update for today; happy holidays to everyone!
Was the happy recipient of a new gaming laptop amongst other goodies, so I shall be downloading and checking out many new F2P MMORPG’s soon. But for now, alcohol is needed to get through the rest of today’s family dinner.
Thank you Santa for all the presents!

As this is my first anime review, I thought I should start with Angel Beats! as it far surpassed my initial expectations.
This anime is quite spectacular, offering a solid, well planned story line that reminded me of an RPG. The characters in Angel Beats! may seem rather cliche at first but they all work well together; providing the avid anime fan with hours of otaku treats. I don’t want to give to away any of the story as I think everyone should experience this anime the same way I did; with little to none prior knowledge.
The music in Angel Beats! is great and adds to the mood on screen, giving the story a more powerful feel; although the story alone is captivating enough to keep even the shortest attention-span entertained, all thanks to Jun Maeda’s natural story writing talents.
One of the only downfalls to this anime is that it seems much too short, and towards the end feels a little rushed, but even this didn’t phase me too much as the overall story and animation is top notch.
All in all, I rated this anime quite highly and was still do to this day. For me nothing will compare to Cowboy Bebop or Deathnote, but Angel Beats! is easily a close competitor.
I started gaming when I was a young lad playing 8-bit Nintendo games as often as I could. Throughout the years I’ve owned many different consoles and completed countless games on my own personal gaming pilgrimage. These days I would call myself a casual gamer; playing when I get the off chance, or if I’m hung over in the morning… which happens more than I’m willing to admit
So here is my blog reviewing different games (both old and new) and some of the other things in life that entertain me, such as anime and music.
